Earlier, the project proponent was granted Consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Varied/SAS/2021/15858028 dated 22.06.2021 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Varied/SAS/2021/15858026 dated 22.06.2021, both having validity upto 30.09.2022 for Shops/Booths/Showrooms @ 392 Number with discharge of Domestic Effluent @ 40 KLD and Disposal onto 400 sq.ft area for plantation along the boundary & remaining into MC Sewer with certain conditions mentioned therein.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 115%; background: white;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">Now, the project proponent has applied for obtaining consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for Shops/Booths/Showrooms @ 392 Number alongwith requisite documents.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 115%; background: white;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">The previous consent fee deposited by the project proponent is adequate upto 30.09.2026 against the gross value of fixed assets is Rs. 24.10 crore as on 15.04.2021. Now the project proponent has deposited Rs. 54,720/- (Rs. 28,800/- vide UTR No. N221232588744997 dated 09.08.2023 under Water Act, 1974 & Rs. 25,920/- vide UTR No. N222232591269674 dated 10.08.2023 as penalty) and Rs. 83,020/- ((Rs. 28,300/- vide UTR No. N221232588738540 dated 09.08.2023 under Air Act, 1981, Rs. 25,920/- vide UTR No. N222232591262646 dated 10.08.2023 as penalty & Rs. 28,800/- vide UTR No. N222232591283756 dated 10.08.2023 as NOC fee) as per gross value of fixed assets is Rs. 24.66 crores as on 29.07.2023. The consent fees under both acts are adequate upto 30.09.2027 after adjusting NOC fee & penalty fee.</span></p>

Municipal Council has no objection for giving sewerage connection from main sewer of Municipal Council, Zirakpur for discharge of its treated water after deposition of applicable connection charges and other requisite charges of Municipal Council & water supply/sewerage department, Zirakpur.”</span></p>

Sample was collected from outlet of STP and sent to HO lab and the results are pH -- 7.8, TSS -- 154 mg/l, BOD -- 118 mg/l and O&G -- 6.6 mg/l. The results are beyond the prescribed limit of the Board for mode of disposal onto land for plantation.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 18.0pt; mso-pagination: widow-orphan; background: white; text-autospace: ideograph-numeric ideograph-other;"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">As such, the project proponent is not complying with the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.</span></p>
