<p style="text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;">The note of RO may kindly be perused. </span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;">The industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 for the production of Namkeen/Snacks @ 840 Kgs/day, Rewari/Gachak @ 420 Kgs/day, Roasted Channa @ 400 Kgs/day, Sweet Rice Flakes @ 440 Kgs/day and Gud Channa @ 440 Kgs/day with the disposal of trade effluent @ 9.0 KLD Onto land for plantation after ETP and domestic effluent @ 1.8 KLD onto land for plantation.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: justify; line-height: 18.4px;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 18.4px;">The project proponent has submitted requisite documents and adequate consent fee upto 30.09.2026 as verified by the Regional Office.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;">The industry was visited by AEE of RO on 24.11.2023 and the industry is complying with the provisions of Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;">The industry has submitted CLU certificate from CTP, Punjab bearing no. 4512 dated 13.07.2018 as per which the site of the industry falls under Industrial Land Use Zone & permission for CLU is granted for manufacturing of food & confectionery items as verified by the Regional Office.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;">The case was examined and it was decided to issue SCN for refusal of consent with an opportunity to submit reply within 03 days.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;">Now, RO reported that the industry has submitted the reply of the SCN, which is reproduced as under:</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><em><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;">"In this regard we want to submit that, our unit is small scale industry & as per CPCB policy small/micro industries are exempted from P R under Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2016. Further, it is submitted that only H.W. 5.1 is being generated by the unit & we are in process to make an agreement with a recycler for lifting of the same. It is requested to give us 20-30 days for the same & we will apply for HW authorization after completing all the documentation as soon as early. We had also made an agreement for lifting of solid waste being generated by the unit."</span></em></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif;">RO further reported that as the industry has already made agreement for the lifting of solid waste and is in process to apply for the authorization under HWM Rules, 2016.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: justify; line-height: 18.4px;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 18.4px;">May if approved, </span><span style="background-color: #ffffff; color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Tahoma, 'sans-serif'; font-size: 16px; text-indent: 48px;">consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.09.2026 </span><span style="font-size: 12pt;">subject to suitable conditions and special conditions as under:</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: justify; line-height: 18.4px;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 18.4px;">1. The industry shall apply for authorization under the Hazardous & Other Wastes (Management and Trans-boundary Movement) Rules, 2016, within 07 days.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 0in; text-align: justify; line-height: 18.4px;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; line-height: 18.4px;">2. The industry shall ensure compliance of Solid Waste Management Rules, 2016.</span></p>
