<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; background: white;">Now, the industry has applied for fresh consent to Operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 for manufacturing of Sweaters @ 600 Numbers/day.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; background: white;"> The industry has filled online application form, uploaded latest CA certificate, manufacturing process, feasibility report, Site Plan/Location Plan, MSME certificate.<span style="color: red;"> </span>The industry has deposited Rs. 32400/- vide no. N121232439374214 dated 01.05.2023 and Rs. 75600/- vide no. N352232789726552 dated 18.12.2023 under Water Act, 1974, Rs. 10800/- vide no. N121232439382222 dated 01.05.2023 as NOC regularization fee, Rs. 32400/- vide no. N121232439372628 dated 01.05.2023 and Rs. 75600/- vide no. N352232789739068 dated 18.12.2023 under Air Act, 1981. As per the CA certificate the applicable fee is Rs. 18000 per annum, the industry has deposited consent fee for 10 years. The adequacy of fee deposited is upto 30.09.2028.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; background: white;"> The industry was visited by this office on 08.01.2024 and observed as under:- </span></p>

<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;">2.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; background: white;">In compliance to decision no. 1 of the personal hearing, the industry has submitted Govt. notification dated 06.10.2023 regarding regularization of units in non-designated area. As per the approved master plan Ludhiana, the area where the unit is situated falls in Mix land use area. Further as per Govt. of Punjab notification dated 06.10.2023, relief has been given to existing industry operating in residential zone and has been allowed to operate for further 3 years i.e. upto 10.09.2026 subject to fulfillment of PPCB norms. <p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;">3.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; background: white;">All the machinery installed by the industry is non-polluting in nature, except two no. washing machines.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;">4.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; background: white;">The industry has provided physiochemical ETP of capacity 4 KLD for the treatment of trade effluent, and the effluent after treatment is discharged into sewer. The ETP comprises of collection tank-chemical dozing-floculator-settler-prefilteration tank-MGF and ACF.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;">5.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; background: white;">The industry has provided EMF at the outlet of ETP and also on the source of fresh water.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;">6.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; background: white;">The domestic effluent is also discharged into sewer.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left: .5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo1;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;">7.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; background: white;">The industry has installed one baby boiler of capacity 500 kg with adequate stack height, the industry has also installed nos. D.G. sets of capacity 64 KVA with canopy & adequate stack height. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; background: white;"> In view of the above, it is recommended that 'Consent to Operate' under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry up to 10.09.2026 with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board please.</span></p>
