<p style="text-align: justify;"><span><span lang="EN-US">It is intimated the HCF was earlier granted Consent to Operate under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/LDH3/2022/18495171 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/LDH3/2022/18495219 dated 18.04.2022, which was valid upto 31.03.2023. </span></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span><span lang="EN-US">Now, the HCF has applied for renewal of CTO under both acts. The HCF is 30 bedded hospital and the case of the same was scrutinized and the found that the HCF has submitted all the required documents and has also deposited CTO fee online Rs. 8000/- vide UTR no. 171801486 dated 05.01.2024 and Rs. 2000/- vide UTR no. </span>940951187 dated 28.04.2023 <span lang="EN-US">under Air Act, 1981 and Rs. 8000/- vide UTR no. 435844546 dated 03.01.2024 and Rs. 2000/- vide UTR no. </span>435561866 dated 28.04.2032 under Water Act, 1974, which are adequate upto 31.03.2028. The HCF has also submitted MOU signed with M/s Medicare Environmental Management Pvt. Ltd., Opp. Central Jail, Tajpur Road, Ludhiana valid up to 31.03.2024 for 30 beds.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span>The HCF has also applied for renewal of authorization under Bio-Medical Waste Management Rules, 2016, which is under process. The HCF was visited by undersigned on 11.01.2024 and it was observed as under:</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span>1. The HCF is having 30 beds in the premises.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span>2. The HCF has installed ETP-cum-STP for the combined treatment of chemical liquid waste and domestic effluent as well. The treated effluent is then finally dishcarged into sewer.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span>3. The HCF has also installed 1 DG set of capacity 25 KVA equipped with canopy.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span>4. The HCF has installed colour coded bins at every segregation point. The segregation was found proper. The HCF has also maintained the record of manifest record of lifting slips of BMW. The HCF has also provided needle shredder with punture proof containers.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span>5. The site of the HCF falls within MC limits of Ludhiana.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span>The HCF is complying with the provisions of Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 as well as with Bio Medical Waste (Management and Handling) Rules, 2016.</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span lang="EN-US"> Keeping in view of the above, it is recommended that the Consent to Operate applide by the HCF under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be renewed to the HCF up to 30.06.2028 with special conditions as follows:</span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span><span lang="EN-US">1. </span><span lang="EN-US">The HCF shall ensure to comply with the effluent standards as notified by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change under Bio-Medical Waste (Management & Handling) Rules, 2016 as amended up to date and subsequent amendments if any.</span></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span><span lang="EN-US">2. </span><span lang="EN-US">The HCF shall renew its Agreement with Common Bio Medical Treatment Facility immediately before its expiry.</span></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span><span lang="EN-US">3. </span><span lang="EN-US">The HCF will apply for fresh authorization under Bio Medical Waste (Management & Handling) Rules, 2016 and varied Consent to Operate Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981, if it increases its bed capacity or dental chairs.</span></span></p>
