<p style="text-align: justify;">It is submitted that the unit was granted fresh ‘Consent to Establish’ under the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTE/Fresh/SAS/2023/20793226 dated 10-01-2023, having validity upto 02-01-2024, for establishment of industrial plant for manufacturing of Solder Iron 10 CFT/day, Hand Drilled Machine 5 CFT/day, Table Type Drilled Machine 2 CFT/day, Assembly Table 10 CFT/day, Hand Cutter 15 CFT/day, Wire Stripper 10 CFT/day, PCB Assembling Machine 2 CFT/day, Table Type Grinder 1 CFT/day by using MS Cabinet 200 CFT/day, ABS Cabinet 300 CFT/day, Fiber Cabinet 50 CFT/day, Electronics Components 2000 CFT/day, Mechanical Parts 500 CFT/day as raw material, subject to certain conditions mentioned therein.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Now, the industry has applied for fresh ‘Consent to Operate’ under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, along with requisite document. </p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The industry has deposited Rs. 8900/- vide R. no. 34822868581DC dated 28.12.2023 under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Rs. 8400/- vide UTR R. no. 34822816011DC dated 28.12.2023 under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, which is adequate upto 30.09.2026 for both the Acts against the fixed assets of Rs. 52.60 lakhs on 26.12.2023.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The industry has submitted a copy of building plan approved by the competent person under the Factories Act, 1948.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Visit</strong>:</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Accordingly, the industry was visited by AEE of this office on 11.01.2024 and during visit, it was observed as under:</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">1. The industry is engaged in manufacturing of electrical equipments and was in operation during the visit.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">2. The industry is carrying out only assemble of equipments in its premises.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">3. The industry is not carrying out any wet process or any other process which may produced trade effluent, in its premises.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">4. The industry is generating only domestic effluent and discharging the same into PSIEC sewer.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">5. The industry has not installed any air polluting process in its premises and has neither install any boiler/furnace in its premises.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">6. The industry has installed one no. DG set of capacity 20 KVA, which is provided with canopy and stack of adequate height.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"> </p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"> From above, it is clear that the industry is complying with the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><strong>Recommendations:</strong></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"> In view of above, if may approved, the industry may be granted ‘consent to operate’ under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, upto 31.12.2026, ubject to suitable conditions and following additional conditions:</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"> </p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">1. The industry shall not start any new process within its unit which may change its category from Green to Orange/ Red, without the prior written permission of the Board.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">2. The industry shall not discharge the effluent into any drain/choe/nallah, in any case.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">3. The Consent is being issued to the industry based upon the documents/ information submitted by it along with the online application form. The Board would be at liberty to take penal action against the industry and its responsible/ concerned person(s) in case information/document is detected as incorrect/false/misleading at any point of time.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">4. In case the industry fails to comply with the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 and/or any other environmental law applicable to the project and Rules, Circulars & Directions issued by the Board from time to time, action as deemed fit shall be taken against the industry.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">5. The project proponent shall not discharge any effluent at any unauthorized place by any unauthorized means i.e. shall not discharge any wastewater in any drain / inland surface waters / drain/choe/nallah/ onto land for stagnation or outside its premises, at any time, under any circumstances.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">6. The entire responsibility of treatment and disposal arrangements provided at the site, shall be of the industry</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">7. The industry shall ensure that the activities of unit does not create any nuisance in the surrounding areas and no public complaints are received.</p>
