<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 0.5in; text-indent: -0.25in; text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">·<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">The industry applied for obtaining fresh consents to operate under the provisions of the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 0.5in; text-indent: -0.25in; text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">·<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">The industry was visited by the officer of the Board on 05.12.2023 and it was observed that the industry was not in operation during visit and has carried out trial runs.The industry has not installed any APCD upon 2 no. chipper machines.The dryer installed is connected with multicyclone as APCD, however while obtaining NOC of the Board under the provisions of the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981, bag filter house was proposed as APCD with the dryer section.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 0.5in; text-indent: -0.25in; text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">·<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">In view of above, the industry has been issued show cause notice before refusal of 'consents to operate' under the provisions of Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 with an opportunity of personal hearing before the Senior Environmental Engineer on 04.01.2024.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 0.5in; text-indent: -0.25in; text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">·<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><span style="font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">During hearing, the Partner of the industry submitted written to the show cause notice issued to it, which has been taken on record. He further stated that all the dust emitting points from the chipper hammer and dryer section are connected with cyclone followed by bag filter house as APCD and further requested to grant consents to operate under the provisions of the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 0.5in; text-indent: -0.25in; text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 13.5pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">·<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; background: white;">After hearing the Partner of the industry as well as the officer of the Board, it has been decided that the Environmental Engineer, Regional Office, Bathinda shall visit the industry, verify the submission of the Partner of industry and process the consent applications applied by the industry under the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 on merits.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 0.5in; text-indent: -0.25in; text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="line-height: 150%;"><span style="font-family: Symbol;"><span style="font-size: 13.5pt;">·</span></span><span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size: xx-small;"> </span></span><span style="font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; background: white;">Now the visiting officer has reported that the industry was visited on 11.01.2024 and it was observed that the unit has installed proper suction hoods above the chipper machines that are connected with the bag house filter as APCD. The dryer furnace is connected with multi cyclone followed by Bag filter as APCD. The hammer is connected with cyclone followed by bag filter and pellet machines are directly connected with bag filter as APCD. Bag filter mentioned is common with dryer, hammer, chipper & pellets machines.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 0.5in; text-indent: -0.25in; text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-family: Symbol; mso-fareast-font-family: Symbol; mso-bidi-font-family: Symbol;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">·<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; background: white;">In view of above, if approved, CTO under the Water Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry for manufacturing of Agro residue based Non Torrefied Pellets @ 5 TPH upto 30.09.2028, subject to the special condition that t</span><span style="background-color: white; font-family: Verdana, 'sans-serif'; text-indent: -0.25in;">he industry shall not undergo any expansion w.r.t. land area/production capacity, without prior written permission of the Board.</span></p>
