<p style="text-align: justify;">The report/recommendations of Regional Office may kindly be perused.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The industry is small scale orange category unit and it is engaged in the manufacturing of tractor parts.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The industry was given personal hearing before the Chief Environmental Engineer, Ludhiana u/s 33-A of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 as amended in 1988 and u/s 31-A of the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 as amended in 1987 on 11.09.2023 vide Board letter no. 5696 dated 21.09.2023, wherein it was decided that Environmental Engineer, Regional Office-4, Ludhiana shall visit the industry, verify its contentions and process the consent application on merits accordingly, within 07 days.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Now, the industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 through OCMMS on 03.01.2024 for production of tractor parts @ 5000 TPD by using bar @ 04 TPH as raw material.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The industry has submitted requisite documents and adequate consent fee which is valid upto 18.08.2024 as verified by the Regional Office.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The industry has submitted undertaking regarding date of commissioning of the industry, as per which the industry has been installed the machinery in 2018 after the extension of load from 19.99 kW to 59.95 kW. The copy of the undertaking as well as demand note bearing no. 2088294 dated 11.06.2018 is attached herewith. However, as per the electricity bill date of connection is 18.08.2016 with different load and the copy of the same is also attached in the reply of clarification submitted by the industry. As such, the date of commissioning may be considered 18.08.2016 as per the electric connection.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Regional Office reported that the industry has submitted copy of land use classification from the ATP, Ludhiana vide letter no. 2464 dated 07.10.202 wherein it has been mentioned that the site of industry falls in the Industrial Zone as per approved Master Plan, Ludhiana (2007-31). The industry is located in Focal Point, Phase-7 Ludhiana. Hence the site is suitable for establishment of red category unit.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Further, the industry was visited by the AEE of RO on 04.01.2024 and reported that the industry was complying with the provisions of the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">In view of above, if approved, consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted upto 31.07.2024 with suitable conditions, please.</p>
