In order to verify the source of this wastewater, the industry was visited by the undersigned alongwith AEE on 15.01.2024. During visit, it was observed that the wastewater is indeed being released through an outlet onto the forest land abutting to the industrial premises. It was also observed that water used by laborers for washing purposes is being discharged into the stormwater drain, which ultimately leads to this forest land. Samples from the wastewater stagnated in the forest land and the ETP outlet have been collected and sent for analysis and the results are awaited. Further, the plantation area developed by the industry for utilization of the treated wastewater of the ETP is just adjacent to the stormwater land. During visit, it was observed that there was stagnation of treated wastewater in the plantation area and some wastewater was being discharged from the plantation area into the stormwater land. The industry was advised to provide embankment along the plantation area to rule out the possibility of passing of wastewater from the plantation area into the forest land.
