The Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana being the owner and custodian of all sewers of Ludhiana is also liable for installation commissioning of STP 60 MLD STP.</span></p>

Gurjinder Singh, EE of the Municipal Corporation attended the hearing and submitted written reply which was taken on record. He submitted that the Hon'ble NGT Principal Branch has constituted a joint committee with members of Central Pollution Control Board and Punjab Pollution Control Board in the case of Nitin Dhiman v/s State of Punjab application no. 225 of 2022. The Joint Committee has submitted that the proposal for use of treated sewage effluent for irrigation is to be submitted by the department of Water Resources and department of Soil Conservation. The conc. of various parameters of treated trade effluent collected on 24.11.2023 are within the prescribed limits of the Board. As per SCADA system provided with the STP, it has discharge of average treated effluent @ 31.170 MLD for the period 01.11.2023 to 23.11.2023. The STP has installed the OCEMS at outlet of STP, but the same is being connected with the Boards server. The PWSSB has submitted Rs. 50,000/- as Consent fee.</span></p>
