CTOA/Varied/SAS/2023/21167237 dated 08/08/2023, both having validity upto <u>31/12/2023</u>, for manufacturing of BRASS SANITARY FITTINGS @ 240 MT/Yea, subject to certain conditions mention therein.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 70.9pt; line-height: 150%; margin: 0in .2pt 6.0pt 0in;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">Now, the industry has applied obtaining Varied ‘consent to operate’ under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, for manufacturing of Brass Sanitary Fittings @ 240 MT/Year. The industry has applied for varied ‘consent to operate’ under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 due to the fact that it has now installed an new DG set of capacity 750 KVA and has removed the earlier installed DG set of capacity 350 KVA. Further, the industry has also mentioned that the generation of domestic effluent has been increased from 2.0 KLD to 4.0 KLD. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 70.9pt; line-height: 150%; margin: 0in .2pt 6.0pt 0in;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">As per record file, earlier, the industry had deposited consent fee, which has valid upto 30.09.2025. The industry has now deposited Rs. 21600/- vide R. no. 291138378 dated 03.07.2023 and Rs. 77400/- vide R. no. 613113982 dated 15.01.2024 under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 (considering NOC regularization fee) and Rs. 21600/- vide R. no. 821195226 dated 02.01.2023 and Rs. 70200/- vide R. no. 53741617 dated 15.01.2024 under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, against the fixed assets of Rs. 687.04 lakhs on 06.11.2023. The fee deposited by the industry is adequate upto <u>30.06.2028.</u> </span></p>

<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 70.9pt; line-height: 150%; margin: 0in .2pt 6.0pt 0in;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">As per record file of this office, the industry had already obtained land use classification certificate from the Department of Town & Country Planning vide letter no. 1072 dated 15.06.2022, wherein, it has been mentioned that the site of the industry (i.e. Hadbast no. 200) and Khasra nos. 814 (2-6), 815/1 (2-0) for 01 Bighas, 16 Biswas) falls under F.E.Z Zone.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNoSpacing" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 70.9pt; line-height: 150%; margin: 0in .2pt 6.0pt 0in;"><span style="font-family: 'Bookman Old Style','serif'; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">Thus, the site is suitable for varied ‘consent to operate’.</span></p>

Sukhjinder Singh, Competent Person under the Director of Factories of Punjab.</span></p>
