<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 8.0pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 106%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 106%; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; background: white;">It is submitted that the industry was granted varied consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/SGR/2018/8910185 dated 24/12/2018, valid upto 30/09/2023 and under the Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/SGR/2019/10079116 dated 18/06/2019, valid upto 30/09/2023, for manufacturing of V-Belt Pulley & Machine Parts Casting @ 1.8 MT/day by using Pig Iron/ Iron Scrap @ 1.8 MT/day as raw material, with certain conditions mentioned therein. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 8.0pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 106%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 106%; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; background: white;">Now, the industry has applied for varied consent to operate for installation of Shot Blast Machine of capacity 3.0 MTD under the Water Act, 1974 and under the Air Act, 1981 for same production i.e. V-Belt Pulley & Machine Parts Casting @ 1.8 MT/day by using Pig Iron/ Iron Scrap @ 1.8 MT/day as raw material.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 8.0pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 106%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 106%; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; background: white;">The industry has deposited consents fee amounting to Rs. 18,000/- vide UTR No. 001141576668 dated 24.11.2023 under the Water Act, 1974 and Rs. 18,000/- vide UTR No. 001141578062 dated 24.11.2023 under Air Act, 1981, against the value of gross fixed assets of Rs. 23.39 lacs (as per CA certificate submitted by the industry dated 20/11/2023), which is <strong>adequate upto</strong> <strong>30/06/2033 (after deducting penalty fee)</strong>.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 8.0pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 106%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 106%; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; background: white;">There is increase in the value of plan & machinery of Rs. 2.5 lacs approx. by installing Shot Blast Machine in its existing premises. In this regard, the industry has also deposited NOC regularization fee of Rs. 700/- vide UTR No. 001141579377 dated 24.11.2023.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 8.0pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 106%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 106%; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; background: white;">The industry has got analyzed its stack emission sample which is carried out from stack of cupola furnace by M/s Centre for Environment and Food Technology Pvt. Ltd., Moti Nagar, New Delhi. As per analysis report, the results of the same are within prescribed limits.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 8.0pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 106%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 106%; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; background: white;">The industry has obtained certificate of land use classification from DTP vide memo no. 1741 DTP(S)/LPM-141 dated 21.12.2023. According to this letter, the industry was approved from Director of Factories, Punjab on dated 05.06.2013. The site of industry is adjusted as it is in industrial area in Notified Master Plan, Malerkotla. The site falls in the MC limits of Malerkotla.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 8.0pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 106%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 106%; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; background: white;">Hence, it falls in the industrial area of Notified Master Plan, Malerkotla.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 8.0pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 106%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 106%; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; color: black; background: white;">To verify the contents of the application, the industry was visited by AEE of this office on 12/01/2024 and it was observed as under:-</span></p>

Malerkotla.</span></p>

However, domestic effluent @ 0.6 KLD which is being discharged onto land for plantation after passing through septic tank.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 106%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: 0in 0in 8.0pt .25in;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 106%; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">4.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 106%; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; background: white;">The industry has installed one cupola furnace of capacity 3 TPH with wet cap as APCD and one shot blast machine of capacity 3 TPH with in-built bag filter as APCD and stack of adequate height. The cupola furnace and shot blast was not in operation during visit.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: -.25in; line-height: 106%; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; margin: 0in 0in 8.0pt .25in;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 106%; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">5.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 106%; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; background: white;">The industry has also installed one paint booth with water curtain as APCD.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 8.0pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 106%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 106%; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; background: white;">The industry has also submitted compliance report of consent conditions earlier granted to it under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 8.0pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 106%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 106%; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; background: white;">No complaint is pending against the industry. The industry was found complying with consent conditions during last visit and consents were granted thereafter.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 8.0pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 106%;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 106%; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; color: black; background: white;">Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that varied consent to operate (CTO) under Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981 may both be granted up to <strong>30/09/2032 (upto accumulative period)</strong>, for manufacturing of V-Belt Pulley & Machine Parts Casting @ 1.8 MT/day by using Pig Iron/ Iron Scrap @ 1.8 MT/day as raw material, subject</span><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; line-height: 106%; font-family: 'Tahoma',sans-serif; background: white;"> to the suitable conditions as per policy of the Board.</span></p>
