<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: 49.5pt; line-height: normal; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">The HCF has also applied for authorization under BMW Rules, 2016 for 10 beds capacity.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: 49.5pt; line-height: normal; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">The HCF has deposited consent fee of Rs. 8,750/- under the Water Act, 1974 and Rs. 8,750/- under the Air Act, 1981 vide R. No. SBIN323361280467 dated 27.12.2023, which is adequate upto 31.12.2024 (after deducting the penalty from April, 2016).</span></p>

Ltd., Jalandhar which is valid upto 31/07/2026 for 10 bed capacity.</span></p>

The hospital<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>is shifting its<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>biomedical waste to the HCF namely M/s Asha gupta Maternity home located backside to it. From where, they are lifting jointly BMW of both the HCFs to the CBWTF.</span></strong></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; margin-left: 49.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -22.5pt; line-height: normal; mso-list: l1 level1 lfo2; background: white;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: Tahoma;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">4.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">The liquid waste generated by the HCF is being treated with sodium hypo chloride solution and then discharged into MC sewer.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: 49.5pt; line-height: normal; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">As per the latest Office Order of the Board vide no. 379 dated 23/10/2023,</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; margin-right: 63.0pt; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; margin-left: 49.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 49.5pt; line-height: normal; background: white;"><em><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">“it has been decided that HCFs upto 30 beds capacity which are discharging their liquid waste into public sewer and operating within MC limits of towns, where terminal STPs have been installed shall be granted consents to operate and Authorization without installing individual ETPs as an interim arrangement, subject to the condition that HCF shall comply with the effluent standards prescribed by the MOEF&CC under the Bio Medial Waste Management Rules, 2016 as amended from time to time.</span></em></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: 49.5pt; line-height: normal; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">In the present case, the HCF is located in City Barnala, where the terminal STP has already been installed and the same is in operation.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: 49.5pt; line-height: normal; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 12.0pt; font-family: 'Tahoma','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">Keeping in view of above, if approved show cause notice for refusal of Consent to operate under water act,1974 and Air Act,1981 may be issued to the HCF with an opportunity of personal hearing please as it is already non-compliant under basic BMW rules.</span></p>
