<p style="text-align: justify;">· <span style="text-indent: -24px;">Previous CTOs granted to the industry under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 on 19.07.2019 (valid upto 30.06.2024) for production of parboiled/steamed rice @ 4 TPH, raw rice with dryer @ 2 TPH and sorted rice @ 10 TPH. </span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!--[endif]--><span style="text-indent: -24px;">·</span><span style="text-indent: -24px;"> </span>The industry obtained NOC on 03.07.2023 (valid upto 02.07.2024) for expansion within the existing premises by installing additional machinery for production of parboiled rice @ 6 TPH, Raw rice with dryer @ 3 TPH and sorted rice @ 15 TPH.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->· <!--[endif]-->Now application applied for obtaining varied CTOs under the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 for production of parboiled rice @ 6 TPH, Raw rice with dryer @ 3 TPH and sorted rice @ 15 TPH.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->· <!--[endif]-->The visiting officer has reported that the industry was visited on 11.01.2024 and found in operation for production of steamed rice & raw rice. ETP installed which was under stabilization and is adequate to handle/treat the effluent generated from the processing of saila rice. Land area of 2.5 acres provided for disposal of treated effluent. The industry is complying with the p provisions of Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 as well as with the code of practice prescribed by the Govt. vide order dated 15.10.2013.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->· <!--[endif]-->In view of above, if approved, varied CTOs under the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry for production of parboiled rice @ 6 TPH, Raw rice with dryer @ 3 TPH and sorted rice @ 15 TPH, subject to the following special conditions that:-</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->1. <!--[endif]-->The industry will ensure to stabilize the ETP atleast one month prior to its operation and shall intimate the operational schedule to the Regional Office, Bathinda of the Board so as to enable the Board to collect its effluent samples.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->2. <!--[endif]-->The industry shall maintain proper record of the effluent generated/treated.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->3. <!--[endif]-->The industry will ensure no stagnation in the plantation area and will be bound to increase the same in case stagnation is observed in it at any time.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->4. <!--[endif]-->The industry will not undergo any expansion w.r.t. its production capacity as well as land area without obtaining prior permission of the Board.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><!-- [if !supportLists]-->5. <!--[endif]-->The industry will comply with code of practice notified by the Govt. of Punjab, Department of Science, Technology & Environment vide notification no. 10/48/2004-STE(4)/932 dated 15.10.2013.</p>
