<p class="MsoBodyText" style="margin: 0cm; margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 36.0pt; line-height: 115%; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: Arial, 'sans-serif'; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;">Earlier, the industry was given personal hearing before the Senior Environmental Engineer, Zonal Office-I, Ludhiana on 30.08.2023 w.r.t. show cause notice for revocation / cancellation of consent to operate granted under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 alongwith revocation of authorization under the Hazardous and other Waste (Management & Transboundary Movement) Rules, 2016, wherein, it was decided as under:</span></p>

Therefore, there is no change in the quantity of trade effluent as proposed by the industry.</span><span style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: Arial, 'sans-serif'; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;"> </span><span style="font-size: 11pt; line-height: 115%; font-family: Arial, 'sans-serif'; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-size: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-origin: initial; background-clip: initial;">As there is no increase in the trade effluent. Therefore, existing ETP will be adequate and the industry is already re-using its treated effluent in the process.</span></p>
