CTOW/Renewal/LDH3/2022/17745180 dated 08.03.2022 valid upto 07.03.2023 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOA/Renewal/LDH3/2021/11617220 dated 25.07.2021 valid upto 31.03.2022 for dyeing PC and Synthetic Fabrics @ 800 Kgs/day and discharge of treated trade effluent @ 150 KLD into sewer after treatment through ETP alongwith one boiler of capacity @ 03 TPH & one DG set of capacity @ 55 KVA equipped with canopy.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin: 0in; text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">Earlier, the industry has installed 05 soft flow machines (2 X 450 Kgs & 3 X 300 Kgs). However, as per PDA share list dated 22.07.2022, the industry was granted shares of 150 KLD and accordingly 01 soft flow machine of capacity 450 Kgs and 01 soft flow machine of capacity 300 Kgs was sealed on 17.10.2022.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin: 0in; text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">Thereafter, the industry was visited by the officer of the Board on 04.08.2023 and it was observed that the industry had removed the seals from both machines and all 05 soft flow machines were in operation. Moreover, the industry had not submitted Bank Guarantees of Rs. 1.0 Lac and 50,000/-, as decided in the hearings afforded to the industry by Chief Environmental Engineer, Ludhiana and Senior Environmental Engineer, Zonal Office-2, Ludhiana due to various violations reported at that time under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin: 0in; text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">Accordingly, the industry was given personal hearing before the Chief Environmental Engineer, Ludhiana on 28.08.2023 and it was decided that directions u/s 33-A of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 be confirmed against the industry for its closure and disconnection of electric connection.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraph" style="margin: 0in; text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in; line-height: 150%;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-family: 'Calibri',sans-serif; mso-ascii-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-hansi-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">Accordingly, PSPCL authorities had disconnected power supply vide TDCO no. 203/561 dated 18.10.2023.</span></p>
