<p style="color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: justify; background-color: #ffffff;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">As per the abovementioned note, the CETP operator has executed agreements/MOUs of around 630 KLD with industries more than its present granted consent for a treatment capacity of 500 KLD. However, the average effluent lifted by the CETP as per details obtained from it during the last year is less than 500 KLD.</span></p>
<p style="color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: justify; background-color: #ffffff;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">There are some metals are found in analysis results in some instances but same are within prescribed limits.</span></p>
<p style="color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: justify; background-color: #ffffff;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">The CETP expansion project would be completed within 03 months as assured by the operator.</span></p>
<p style="color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: justify; background-color: #ffffff;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">The LETS and DIC, Ludhiana have neither obtained Environmental Clearance under the EIA notification 2006 nor the CETP operator has obtained Environmental Clearance under the EIA notification 2006.</span></p>
<p style="color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: justify; background-color: #ffffff;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">. The CETP operator has submitted a third-party audit report conducted by the team of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, Punjab Technical University, Bathinda received through email dated 22.12.2023, The audit team has given recommendations for improving the performance of the CETP, same has been mentioned in the above said note.</span></p>
<p style="color: #5d5d5d; font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; text-align: justify; background-color: #ffffff;"><span style="font-size: 12pt;">It is recommended that the extension validity of the CTO under the Water Act, 1974 may be granted for one year i.e. up to 31.12.2024 by also keeping given light of the decisions of its hearing dated 11.01.2024 and special conditions as proposed by AEE.</span></p> |
