<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: 63.8pt; line-height: normal; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: 'Book Antiqua',serif; mso-bidi-font-family: Shruti;">It is submitted that the industry was granted NOC/consent to establish under the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTE/Fresh/BAR/2023/21632931 dated 20.04.2023 valid upto 19.04.2024 for manufacturing of Sorted raw rice (with dryer) @ 2.0 TPH by using Paddy @ 3.0 TPH as raw material with certain conditions mentioned therein and special conditions as under:-</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: 63.8pt; line-height: normal; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: 'Book Antiqua',serif; mso-bidi-font-family: Shruti;">Now, the industry has applied for obtaining fresh consents under the Water Act, 1974 and under the Air Act, 1981 for the same production with same quantities.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: 63.8pt; line-height: normal; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: 'Book Antiqua',serif; mso-bidi-font-family: Shruti;">The rice sheller has deposited Rs. 84,000/- vide no. SBIN323361165763 dated 27.12.2023 under the Water Act, 1974 and Rs. 84,000/- vide no. SBIN323361168092 dated 27.12.2023 and Rs. 4,200/- vide no. SBIN323361163483 dated 27.12.2023 under the Air Act, 1981. The industry has submitted the CA certificated for the value of fixed assets Rs. 119.16 Lacs as on 01.12.2023. The fee deposited by the industry is adequate upto 31.12.2033 under the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: 63.8pt; line-height: normal; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: 'Book Antiqua',serif; mso-bidi-font-family: Shruti;">The industry has also deposited Rs. 2800/- vide no. 573117266 dated 15.01.2024 as NOC regularization fee which is adequate.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: 63.8pt; line-height: normal; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: 'Book Antiqua',serif; mso-bidi-font-family: Shruti;">The industry has submitted an undertaking regarding the APCDs installed by the industry. The industry has also submitted compliance report of previous consent conditions earlier granted to it for setting up a rice sheller unit.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: 63.8pt; line-height: normal; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: 'Book Antiqua',serif; mso-bidi-font-family: Shruti;">The rice sheller has submitted approved building plan duly approved by Competent Person Recognized by Director of Factories, Punjab.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: 63.8pt; line-height: normal; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: 'Book Antiqua',serif; mso-bidi-font-family: Shruti;">To verify the compliance of consent conditions earlier granted to the rice sheller & the code of practice, the rice sheller was visited by undersigned on 09/01/2024 and it was observed as under : -</span></p>

During visit, due to non-availability of Scientific Staff, sampling could not be carried out. However, the industry has submitted the analysis report of its stack emission samples collected by the private lab on 25.12.2023 and as per the analysis report the results are within limit for both the shelling section and dryer section. The industry vide its letter dated 24.01.2024 (copy attached) has submitted that the brick paved road work from main gate of the industry to the rice room/husk area for the movements of vehicles has been started. However, due to very low temperature/winter season and dense fog, the work has been slow down. It is assuring that our industry will be complete the same work within 2 months.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: 63.8pt; line-height: normal; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: 'Book Antiqua',serif; mso-bidi-font-family: Shruti;">In view of above, it is recommended that:-</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: 63.8pt; line-height: normal; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: 'Book Antiqua',serif; mso-bidi-font-family: Shruti;">1. Consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 be granted to the industry upto 30/09/2033 (upto accumulative period) with usual conditions.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="mso-margin-top-alt: auto; text-align: justify; text-indent: 63.8pt; line-height: normal; background: white;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; font-family: 'Book Antiqua',serif; mso-bidi-font-family: Shruti;">2. Consent to operate under the Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry for five years i.e. upto 30/09/2028 (upto accumulative period) with usual conditions and special condition that the industry shall provide the brick paved road from main gate of the industry to the rice room/husk area for the movements of vehicles within 02 months positively as per undertaking given by the industry.</span></p>
