<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Century',serif;">It is submitted that the unit is a small scale poultry farm and has applied for obtaining NOC/consent to establish for the establishment of a layered poultry farm for the production of Egg @ 8000 Number/day by using Laying Birds @ 10,000 number/day as raw material at Near Deep Solvent, Barnala-Bathinda Road, Ghunas, District Barnala under the green category.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Century',serif;">It is also informed that the CPCB has framed Environmental Guidelines for layered poultry farms 10/01/2022. As per the said guidelines, the poultry farms are classified as under:</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Century',serif;">1.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Small (5,000-25,000 bird)</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Century',serif;">2.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Medium (above 25,000-1,00,000 birds).</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Century',serif;">3.<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Large (above 1,00,000 birds)</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Century',serif;">The poultry farm has deposited Rs. 1900/- (Rs. 1400/- as NOC fee + Rs. 500/- application fee) through online vide UTR no. 165261268 dated 29.10.2023 as NOC fee against the proposed value of fixed assets Rs. 23.50 lacs, which is adequate.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Century',serif;">The poultry farm has letter issued from Office of Tehsildar, Tapa, District Barnala vide no. 2300 dated 27.09.2023 as per which the site of the poultry farm having 4/9 part of land of Khasra No. 15//24/1 Khewat No. 613/848/777 in the revenue estate of Barnala-Bathinda Road, Ghunas, District Barnala. Tehsildar report is stating as under:-</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Century',serif;">As per Tehsildar report, the site is fulfilling the sitting criteria for establishment of poultry farm.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Century',serif;">The poultry farm submitted in reply of clarification that it will not construct feed mill in the poultry farm and will buy feed from market for birds. Bird droppings will use as manure or will do agreement with farmers for lifting the bird droppings. The domestic effluent will be discharged onto land after passing through septic.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Century',serif;">To verify the facts, the site of the broiler farm has been visited by the officer of this office on 23/01/2024 and it was observed as under:-</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 67.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -22.5pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Century',serif; mso-fareast-font-family: Century; mso-bidi-font-family: Century;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">2.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Century',serif;">No construction work has been started at site and land is lying vacant.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 67.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -22.5pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Century',serif; mso-fareast-font-family: Century; mso-bidi-font-family: Century;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">3.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Century',serif;">There is no River, Lakes, canals and drinking water source like wells, summer storage tanks near 100 m to this poultry farm. Also no national highway and state highway in the radius of 100 m of poultry farm. Also there is no residential area/ 15 pucca houses within 500 meters of this poultry farm. As such, the site is suitable for the above said establishment of the unit.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 67.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -22.5pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Century',serif; mso-fareast-font-family: Century; mso-bidi-font-family: Century;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">4.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Century',serif;">The poultry farm will not generate any trade effluent. However, domestic effluent @ 0.3 KLD will be discharged onto land for plantation after passing through septic tank.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-left: 67.5pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: -22.5pt; mso-list: l0 level1 lfo2;"><!-- [if !supportLists]--><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Century',serif; mso-fareast-font-family: Century; mso-bidi-font-family: Century;"><span style="mso-list: Ignore;">5.<span style="font: 7.0pt 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span></span><!--[endif]--><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Century',serif;">The representative informed that the bird droppings will be given to the farmers as manure.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Century',serif;">No complaint is pending against the poultry farm. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; text-indent: 1.0in;"><span style="font-size: 14.0pt; line-height: 107%; font-family: 'Century',serif;">Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that consent to establish (CTE) may be granted to the poultry farm for one year, for the establishment of poultry farm for the production of Egg @ 8000 Number/day by using Laying Birds @ 10,000 number/day as raw material, subject to the suitable conditions and with special condition that the poultry farm will comply with the Environmental Guidelines issued by the CPCB.</span></p>
