<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 12pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, 'sans-serif';">The industry is small scale red category unit and it is engaged in the manufacturing of zinc-plating of cycle parts/Hardware. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 12pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, 'sans-serif';">Now, the industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 through OCMMS on 06.01.2024 for production of zinc-plating of cycle parts/Hardware @ 03 TPD by using Cycle Parts/Hardware @ 03 TPH as raw material. The details of manufacturing process are raw material, cutting, barreling, zinc-plating, it is only carrying out zinc-plating of cycle parts/Hardware.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 12pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, 'sans-serif';">The industry has deposited consents fee of Rs. 24,200/- vide R.No. BARBU23201267048 dated 20.07.2023 under the Air Act, 1981 and Rs. 26,400/- vide R.No. BARBU23201267721 dated 20.07.2023 under the Water Act, 1974 against gross value of fixed assets Rs. 11,13,289/- and plant & machinery Rs. 4,56,000/- as on 31.03.2023. Now, after deducting the NOC fee it is adequate upto 30.06.2028 (Including one time settlement fee of Rs. 5,000/- VDS scheme).</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 12pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, 'sans-serif';">The industry has submitted electricity bill as proof of date of commissioning it is mentioned that the industry has sanctioned electric connection on dated 16.09.2017. The industry is located in Focal Point, Phase-8 Ludhiana. Hence the site is suitable for establishment of red category unit.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 12pt; text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, 'sans-serif';">Accordingly, the industry was visited by the AEE of this office on 09.01.2024 and it was observed as under:-</span></p>

The effluent generation and lifting is found in consonance with water consumption.</span></p>

Ltd., Phase-8, Focal Point, Ludhiana @ 3000<span style="color: red;"> </span>Ltr./Month for the treatment & disposal of trade effluent generated from process. </span></p>
<p class="MsoHeader" style="margin: 0in 0in 6pt 0.5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -27pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana, 'sans-serif';">7.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-feature-settings: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; font-variant-position: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana, 'sans-serif';">The industry was advised to maintain separate register and the record of water consumption in process as well as effluent lifted by CETP operator i.e. M/s JBR Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Phase-8, Focal Point, Ludhiana.</span></p>
<p class="MsoHeader" style="margin: 0in 0in 6pt 0.5in; text-align: justify; text-indent: -27pt;"><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana, 'sans-serif';">8.<span style="font-variant-numeric: normal; font-variant-east-asian: normal; font-variant-alternates: normal; font-kerning: auto; font-optical-sizing: auto; font-feature-settings: normal; font-variation-settings: normal; font-variant-position: normal; font-stretch: normal; font-size: 7pt; line-height: normal; font-family: 'Times New Roman';"> </span></span><span style="font-size: 11pt; font-family: Verdana, 'sans-serif';">There is no any air polluting machinery i.e. fuel based boiler or furnace, installed in its premises.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, 'sans-serif';">In view of above, it is recommended that the consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.06.2028 with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board and special conditions that the industry shall submit approved building plan from director of factories, Chandigarh (Punjab).</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify; line-height: normal;"><strong><span style="font-family: Verdana, 'sans-serif';">The competency to decide the application lies with Senior Environmental Engineer, Zonal Office-2, Ludhiana.</span></strong></p>
