<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 4.5pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: Verdana, 'sans-serif'; font-size: 10pt;">As per the decisions of the hearing the industry has proposed to send its spent HCl to M/s Recovery Solutions, which is still under commissioning as per the latest visit the said facility, will be operational by 15.03.2024.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 4.5pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size: 10.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif';">Also, the industry has submitted copy of report prepared by Central University Punjab and as per the monitoring carried out on 10.02.2023 and 17.06.2023, the industry was found complying with the discharge standards. Further, as per the report the industry has reduced the ground water extraction as compared to financial year 2021-2022 by almost 60 KLD by installing RO & UF-1 in the financial year 2022-2023 and by installing UF-2 in July-2023 and now the ground water abstraction has reduced from 460 KLD to 300 KLD resulting in daily water saving of 160 KLD.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 4.5pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size: 10.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif';">It is submitted that the various compliances of the industry will be checked during subsequent visit to the industry as per monitoring protocol of the Board.</span></p>
<p class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="margin-left: 4.5pt; mso-add-space: auto; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;"><span lang="EN-IN" style="font-size: 10.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif';">In view of above, it is recommended that the industry may be granted </span><span style="font-size: 10.0pt; line-height: 150%; font-family: 'Verdana','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; color: black; mso-ansi-language: EN-GB; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB; mso-bidi-language: PA;">the consent to operate under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 for 3-months and under the Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 upto 31.03.2028 as per decisions of the personal hearing given to the industry.</span></p>
