<p><span lang="EN-US">RO has reported that the hospital has applied for obtaining consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 (for hospital @ 100 beds and domestic effluent @ 28 KLD) along with Request Letter, Bed Capacity Certificate, site plan/location plan, Agreement made with CBWTF valid up to 09/06/2027.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><a name="_Hlk86673810"></a><span lang="EN-US">The hospital has deposited Rs. 50 ,000/- vide UTR/Ref. No. AXSK233070018064 dtd 03/11/2023 under Water Act, 1974, Rs. 50,000/- vide UTR/Ref No. AXSK233070018133 dated 03/11/2023 under Air Act, 1981, which is adequate up to 30/06/2027.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">1.</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">The hospital has submitted completion certificate regarding installation of ETP of capacity @ 28 KLD consisting of components Bar Screen – Oil & Grease Chamber – Equalization Tank – MBBR Reactor –Clarifier – Sludge Drying Beds – Prefiltration Tank – Dual Media Filter – Outlet.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">2.</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">The hospital has submitted CBWTF agreement with M/s Amritsar Envirocare regarding lifting of bio medical waste of 100 no. beds valid upto 09.06.2027.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">3.</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">Now hospital has submitted a site plan showing plantation/gardening area of aprox 66000 Sq feet for disposal of treated water after treatment.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">The Hospital was already visited by undersigned on 25/01/2024 and observed as under: -</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">1.</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">The Hospital comprising of 100 beds and is engaged in providing medical health services.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">2.</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">The Hospital has installed ETP cum STP to treat the combined effluent, with outlet onto land for plantation/gardening, however same was in operation during visit. ETP cum STP consist of components Bar Screen – Oil & Grease Chamber – Equalization Tank – MBBR Reactor –Clarifier – Sludge Drying Beds – Prefiltration Tank – Dual Media Filter – Outlet.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">3.</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">The HCF has provided color coded bins for segregation, collection of Bio-Medical Waste and segregation of Bio-Medical Waste was according to color codes.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">4.</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">The HCF has provided needle destroyer for shredding of needles.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">5.</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">The HCF is lifting its Bio-Medical Waste to CBMWTF and maintaining the record of the same.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">6.</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">The HCF has provided final collection room for storage of bio medical waste generated from its premises.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">7.</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">No Bio-Medical Waste found mixed with general waste.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">The hospital is having bed capacity of 100 beds and competency to decide the case lies with Senior Environmental Engineer.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">RO has recommended that </span>the fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted to the hospital up to 30/09/2026 with suitable terms & conditions along with special conditions that: -</p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">1.</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">The hospital will get effluent sample (combined liquid and domestic effluent) analyzed from an approved lab of the Board within 01month.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">2.</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">The hospital will renew its agreement time to time made with Common Bio Medical Waste Treatment Facility well before its expiry and submit the copy of same in this office.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">3.</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">The HCF shall comply vide Head Office, no. 468 dated 31/08/2021 issued by Punjab Pollution Control Board.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that the fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted to the hospital up to 30/09/2026 with suitable terms & conditions along with special conditions that: -</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">1.</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">The hospital will get effluent sample (combined liquid and domestic effluent) analyzed from Board/approved lab of the Board within 01month.</span></p>
<p><span lang="EN-US">2.</span><span lang="EN-US"> </span><span lang="EN-US">The hospital will renew its agreement time to time made with Common Bio Medical Waste Treatment Facility well before its expiry and submit the copy of same in this office.</span></p>
