<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 36.0pt; background: white;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">Now, the industry has applied varied Consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 for manufacturing of Railway Coach Components @ 9.0 MTD as industry has installed 1 induction furnace of capacity 0.5 Ton/Heat capacity.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 36.0pt; background: white;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">The site of industry was visited by RO on 21.12.2023. During visit it was reported as under: -</span></p>

As per analysis report the concentration of Particulate Matter (PM) was found 64 mg/NM<sup>3</sup> against the prescribed limit of 150 mg/NM<sup>3</sup>, which is within the prescribed limits fixed by the Board.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 35.45pt; background: white;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">The scale of industry is small as per granted certificate of Invest Punjab and RO has attached compliance report countersigned by AEE RO.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 35.45pt; background: white;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">RO further reported that as per Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises notification no. 1702(E) dated 01.06.2020, where the investment in plant and machinery or equipment does not exceed Ten Crore Rupees and turn over does not exceed fifty crores" the industry falls in Small Scale. As informed by the partner of the industry, the annual turnover of the industry is Rs. 28 crores.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 35.45pt; background: white;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">The value of plant and machinery is Rs. 6.36 crores and the annual turnover of the industry is Rs.28 crores Hence, the industry is qualifing the criteria of Small Scale industry as per above said notification.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 36.0pt; background: white;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">Consent fee is adequate upto 30.09.2028.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: .0001pt; text-align: justify; text-indent: 35.45pt; background: white;"><span style="font-family: 'Arial','sans-serif'; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman';">In view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under the Water (prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry upto 30.09.2028 with usual conditions and with the special conditions that the industry will not make any expansion without obtaining NOC of the Board in future, please.</span></p>
