As discussed with your goodself, it is submitted that the industry has installed machinery of rice sheller, for which NOC has obtained by it, in the processing shed and the processing shed has been covered from all sides. It has installed machinery as well as air pollution control device and husk storage area on the farthest end of premises w.r.t. house of complainant in compliance to the specific condition imposed in the NOC. Further, the industry has planted trees along its boundary wall and has developed three row saplings plantation along the boundary wall nearest to the house of complainant.
From above, it is clear that the industry is complying with the code of practice notified by the Govt. of Punjab, Department of Science, Technology & Environment vide notification no 10/48/2004-STE-(4) / 932 dated. 15/10/2013 and specific conditions imposed in NOC.
Keeping in view of above mentioned facts, it is, therefore, recommended that consent to operate granted under the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry for a period upto 30/09/2028 for operation of rice sheller unit to manufacture Raw rice with dryer @ 5.0 TPH and Sorted Rice @ 5.0 TPH, under Orange category, subject to the suitable conditions and a specific condition that the industry will get its emissions analyzed from Board's lab, within one month.
