It is intimated that the industry is a small scale red category unit and engaged in the process of manufacturing of Hand Tool at site.
Earlier, the industry was granted consent to operate under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/JAL2/2022/19219151 dated 12.10.2022 valid upto 11.10.2023 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. No. CTOA/Renewal/JAL/2020/14148049 dated 19.11.2020 valid upto 30.06.2023 with suitable conditions mentioned therein.
Now, the industry has applied for renewal of consent to operate under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 with requisite documents.
The industry has deposited Rs. 18,000/- vide Receipt No. 656466502 dated 03.05.2022 and Rs. 18,000/- vide Receipt No. 114844755 dated 10.10.2023 and Rs. 41400/- UTR. No N023200357554630 dated 23.01.2020 and Rs. 700/- UTR. No N023200357555266 dated 23.01.2020 as NOC regularization fee, which is adequate upto 30.09.2026
Thereafter, the industry had tried to apply through auto renewal module but the offline fee option is not available with the auto renewal module and the representative of the industry also mailed this issue to this office on dated 21.11.2023. This matter was also taken up with the Computer Section, Head Office, Patiala telephonically by this office. From where it was informed that this issue still to be resolved.
It is submitted that new register for maintaining record of auto generated industries has been started and the industry has been listed at no. 07.
Recommendation:- Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.09.2026 with suitable conditions, please.
