Earlier the industry was granted 'Consent to Operate' under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/LDH1/2022/19462447 dated 26.08.2022 valid upto 30.09.2025 and CTOA/Renewal/LDH1/2022/19462446 dated 30.08.2022 valid upto 30.09.2025 for manufacturing of Steel Ingots @36TPD by using of PIG IRON/I C SCRAP @ 36 TPD and with induction furnace of capacity 4.5 TPH.
Thereafter the industry was granted ‘Consent to Establish (NOC for expansion) under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTE/Exp/LDH1/2024/24484762 dated 9.1.2024 dated 8.1.2025 for increasing in production capacity from Steel Ingots @ 36TPD to Steel Ingots @ 80 TPD with replacing of its induction furnace from 4.5 TPH to 7 TPH.
Now the industry has applied varied Consent to Operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 with requisite documents.
The industry has submitted Latest CA Certificate Compliance report of previous Consent conditions, brief project report, Analysis report and Completion certificate of side suction hood from Punjab State Council for Science & Technology. The documents submitted by the industry may kindly be perused.
The industry has deposited Rs. 10800/- vide no. N282232681396809 dated 09.10.2023 as NOC Fee, Rs. 72000/- vide no. N282232681396806 dated 09.10.2023 under Air Act, 1981, Rs. 72000/- vide no. N282232681401944 dated 09.10.2023 under Water Act, 1974, earlier the industry has deposited consent fee which is adequate upto 30.09.2025, now the industry has deposited consent fee for 4 year. The adequacy of fee deposited by the industry is upto 30.09.2029.
The industry was visited by officer of this office on 1.2.2024 and it was observed that;
1. The industry is an induction furnace and was not in operation during visit.
2. The industry has replaced induction furnace of capacity @ 4.5 TPH to 7 TPH and the APCD i.e. bag house filter with side suction hood has also been installed as per the drawings of PSCST, Chandigarh. The newly install furnace is ready for commissioning.
3. The Completion certificate of the same has also been issued by PSCST vide no. PSPCST/TFD/82 dated 17.5.2023.
4. The industry is not generating any trade effluent only domestic effluent is being discharged onto land for plantation after septic tank. No considerable increase in the generation of domestic effluent will be there, so the existing septic tank will be sufficient to cater the domestic effluent after proposed expansion.
5. The site of the industry is suitable for such type of establishments, as the unit was established after obtaining consent to establish of the Board and CLU for industrial purpose has been granted to the industry by Senior Town Planner vide no. 2172 dated 12.10.2009.
6. The industry is complying with consent condition granted to it under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 as well as with the consent to establish (NOC) granted to the industry under said Acts.
7. The industry has installed one DG set of capacity 125 KVA with canopy and adequate stack height.
