File Note: RO has reported that the authority has applied for obtaining consent to establish (NOC) from pollution angle under the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for setting up of STP Plant (2 MLD) and falls under Orange Category of the categorization of the industries. The authority has deposited Rs. 10,500/- Vide UTR No. KKBKH24012777765 dated 12/01/2024 as NOC fee including Rs. 500/- Form Downloading Fee, which is adequate for one year period. The authority has submitted relevant documents, which are enclosed along with the application, which may kindly be pursued. It is further intimated that the Narot Jaimal Singh has proposed to install the STP of capacity 2 MLD, which is based on SBR technology. The treated effluent of the STP is proposed to be discharged into Shigarwa Nala. The site of the STP was visited by the undersigned on 29/01/2024 and observed that the land of the STP has been demarked. The site is situated more than 100 meter of the residential area, school college etc. The construction/earthwork is yet to be started by the PWSSB. The competency to decide the case lies with the worthy Chairman of the Board. RO has recommended that the authority may be granted NOC from pollution angle under the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted for one year period with the special condition that the ULB/PWSSB shall also make arrangements to dispose off the treated effluent for the irrigation of agriculture land with the assistance of Department of Soil & Water Conservation. In view of above, it is recommended that the authority may be granted NOC from pollution angle under the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted for one year period with the special condition that the ULB/PWSSB shall also make arrangements to dispose off the treated effluent for the irrigation of agriculture land with the assistance of Department of Soil & Water Conservation.
