Kindly peruse the reply of AEE, which seems in order. The industry is using PNG as fuel in its Annealing Furnace.
In view of above, it is recommended that the consent to establish (NOC) under the Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 for manufacturing of Forged Roll, Shaft etc. @ 30 MTD by using as Steel Ingot/Bloom/Slab etc. @ 31 MTD may be granted to the project proponent for one year with suitable conditions and following special conditions:
1. The industry shall not carry out any activity which attracts the provisions of EIA notification dated 14/09/2006.
2. The industry shall submit the classification of land from MC, Mandi Gobindgarh at the time of obtaining consent to operate.
3. The project proponent shall install its unit in the land details mentioned in the registry and the DTP certificate only.
4. The unit is advised to obtain necessary clearance for abstraction of Ground Water from the Punjab Water Regulation and Development Authority (PWRDA), if need be.
5. The unit shall obtain revised NOC of the Board, if it changes any of its product/ capacity of the plant.
6. The unit shall not engage in any water polluting process i.e. electroplating / pickling / galvanizing etc.
7. The unit shall not install any air polluting machinery like boiler, furnace etc.
8. The industry shall provide thick plantation of spreading crown varieties of evergreen trees all along the boundary wall.
9. The project proponent shall not throw, burn or burry any solid wastes in open, outside premises or in drain / water bodies.
10. The project proponent shall promote use of alternatives of single use plastics (SUP) and awareness to discourage use of plastic, through their Corporate Environment Responsibility (CER) activities. (See attached banner).
11. The project proponent shall ensure that there are no usages of single use plastic- thermocol disposable items such as water bottles / water pouches/water cups, plates, forks, spoons, straw etc. and single use decorating material made of plastic-thermocal or any other non-biodegradable material in the premises.
12. The project proponent shall properly handle and manage the solid wastages as per the provisions of the Municipal Solid Waste Rules 2016 and ensure that the solid waste is segregated & disposed of in an environmentally sound manner.
13. The project proponent shall install noise limiter on potential pollution devises including retrofitting the existing devices.
