The industry is a small scale orange category unit.
A. Earlier, the industry was granted NOC/consent to establish under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 vide no. CTE/Fresh/JAL2/2022/18506892 dated 18.05.2022 valid upto 17.05.2023 with suitable conditions mentioned therein.
B. The industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under the Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 with requisite documents.
C. The industry has deposited Rs. 90000/- vide UTR no. N182232526117352 dated 01.07.2023 under Water Act, 1974 and Rs. 90000/- vide UTR no. N182232526132722 dated 01.07.2023 under Air Act, 1981, which was adequate upto 30.09.2028.
D. The industry was visited by the by officers of this office on 01.02.2024 and it was observed that:-
1. The industry was in operation during visit and engaged in the process of manufacturing of sports items.
2. The industry has installed one boiler of capacity 03 TPH with cyclone as APCD & provided with rotary valve. Wood is used as fuel.
3. The industry has installed one DG set of capacity 250 KVA with canopy and adequate stack height.
4. Septic tank has been provided for treatment of domestic effluent.
5. The industry has submitted building plan endorsed by approved architect.
6. The industry falls in orange category and the competency to decide the case lies with Senior Environmental Engineer.
Recommendations :-
Keeping the above in view, it is recommended that consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 30.09.2028 with suitable conditions.
