Kindly peruse the reply of SCN along with annexures submitted by the industry vide note dated 28.01.2024. Further, AEE vide note dated 01.02.2024 has submitted that the reply to the show cause notice has been submitted by industry, wherein, it has claimed many compliances done along with the photographs. However, it has sought time for some of the compliances.
In continuation to note of AEE, it is added here that the industry has annexed pictures of production record, EMF installed at the fresh water line along with water meters at various consumption points, plantation area, sampling arrangement alongwith porthole provided at APCD installed with phosphating section etc. It is further intimated that :
1. The industry has submitted water balance annexed at Anx-2 with total water @ 20KLD. The record of industry will be verified during subsequent visit.
2. The industry has developed plantation area as per Karnal technology.
3. The analysis results of ETP and STP effluent samples are within the permissible limits.
4. The industry has provided port-hole alongwith sampling platform (phosphating platform overhead) at the stack attached with APCD of phosphating process.
5. The industry has informed that proper wet scrubber with paint both sections will be installed by the industry latest by 01.04.2024.
6. Stack height of baking oven will be increased by 10 feet by 01.03.2024.
7. Further, the industry has revised agreement with M/s RAMKY/Nimbua for disposal of haz. Waste of cat. 5.2, 12.1, 12.5, 21.1, 35.1, 35.3 and 35.4.
It is therefore recommended that the industry be granted CTOs under Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 upto 31.03.2025 with the following conditions:
a. The industry shall upgrade/install designed wet scrubber with paint both sections latest by 31.03.2024 and submit compliance to the Board.
b. The industry shall install stack of adequate height with its baking oven within one month and submit compliance to the Board.
c. The industry shall be bound to make all necessary compliance under Environmental Acts/Laws, failing which action as deemed fit shall be taken against the industry.
It is also recommended that the industry shall deposit a bank guarantee of Rs. 5 lakh as an assurance to comply with the Environmental norms, within one month time.
