It is submitted that the industry is a small orange category and has been granted CTO under the Water Act, 1974 and under the Air Act, 1981 both are valid up to 30.09.2023 for manufacturing of PRINTED & PLAIN INDUSTRIAL LINER & LAMINATED POUCHES @1000 Kgs/day and discharge of domestic effluent into sewer @ 0.3 KLD.
Now, the industry has applied for varied consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and under the Air Act, 1981 through OCMMS for manufacturing of PRINTED/PLAIN INDUSTRIA L LINER & LAMINATED POUCHES @ 450 MT/Year and for discharge of domestic effluent @ 0.3 into sewer.
The industry has deposited consent fee of amounting to Rs. 42000/- vide R.no. 818188981 dated 22.05.2022 and Rs. 54000/- vide R. no. N265232652427400 dated 22.09.2023 under Water Act, 1974 & Rs. 42000/- vide R.no. 510073950 & Rs. 58100/- vide R. no. N265232652424861 dated 22.09.2023 under Air Act, 1981, which is adequate upto 31.12.2031 (after deducting NOC and late penalty fees).
To verify the facts, the industry was visited by undersigned on 01.02.2024 and it was observed as under :-
1) The industry is located in designated area small scale unit and is engaged in manufacturing of Printed & Plain Industrial Liner & Laminated Pouches.
2) The industry has installed rotogravure printing machine (1 no.), Lamination machine (2 no.), Punching Machine (3 No.), slitting Machine (1 no.) for manufacturing of Printed & Plain Industrial Liner & Laminated Pouches.
3) The industry has installed 1 no. DG set of capacity 85 KVA with adequate stack and canopy.
4) The industry has installed one no. diesel fired baby thermo-pack equipped with stack of adequate height.
5) No effluent is generated from the process and domestic effluent discharge into sewer.
6) The industry has also obtained EPR registration vide no. PR-26-PUN-04-AAJFP4945N-23 dated 26.04.2023, which is valid upto one year for category II.
7) The industry is complying with the provisions of the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981.
In view of above, it is recommended that the varied consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.09.2031 with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board.
