It is submitted that the industry was granted consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 valid upto 31/03/2026 for the manufacturing of Paper punches @ 25000 Nos/day & Index File Clips @ 10000 Nos/day.
Now, the industry has applied for obtaining varied consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 with requisite documents as the industry has installed ZLD.
To verify the facts, the industry was visited by RO on 18.01.2024 and it was reported as under:
1. The industry was in operation during visit & engaged in the manufacturing of Paper punches @ 25000 Nos/day & Index File Clips @ 10000 Nos/day.
2. The collection tank earlier used for waste water collection has now been converted to collection tanks. The ETP is having physio-chemical process followed by filtration and low pressure and high-pressure RO. The high TDS treated pickling effluent after neutralization with alkaline is not sent to RO and directly diverted to evaporation system along with RO reject coming from ETP.
3. The RO reject and pickling effluent after neutralization is fed into evaporation system in which the water is evaporated through sprinkling and fed into evaporation trays. The sludge is also dried in MS trays. The detail is as under:

Copy of e-mail through which industry has submitted request to JBR for cancellation of agreement is attached.
In view of the above, it is recommended tha consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 31.03.2027 with special condition condition that the industry shall operate all the components of treatment plant to achieve ZLD at all times and RO may be requested to ask M/s JBR Technology Pvt. Ltd. Ludhiana to cancel the agreement.
