Sir, in reply of clarification raised by CEE Sir dated 01.02.2024, RO reported that previously no stack sampling was conducted by the Board. Stack emission sample was collected on 14.12.2023 only. As per analysis results of Board’s lab, SPM is reported as 17 mg/Nm3, which is within the prescribed standards of 150 mg/Nm3.
In view of the above, it is recommended that:-
1. 'Consent to operate' under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be renewed for short period of six months with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board.
2. Directions u/s 33-A of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and u/s 31-A of the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be issued to the PSPCL Authorities to restore electric connection of the industry temporary for six months, please.
