It is intimated that the industry is a small scale red category unit. The industry has applied for fresh of consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 along with requisite documents. The industry has submitted approved building plan from architect approved by Director of Factories, Punjab. The industry has submitted purchase bill as a proof of date of commissioning. The site of the industry falls in industrial zone as per the khasra number mentioned in gazzete notification. The industry has deposited Rs. 70700/- vide UTR No. N005242818382525 dated 05.01.2024 ( Rs. 64800/- water, Rs. 5400/- as NOC regularization fee) against the fixed assets of Rs. 50.74/- which is adequate upto 30.06.2028.
The site of industry was visited by the AEE/JEE of this office on 01.02.2024 and it was observed as under:-
1. The industry was in operation during visit and engaged in process of H.B. wire.
2. The industry has signed agreement with M/s JBR Technology Pvt. Ltd., Focal Point, Phase-8 Ludhiana @ 2500 Ltr/M for the treatment & disposal of trade effluent generated from process.
3. The industry has installed water meter at pipeline from where fresh water is consumed in process.
4. The industry could not show any record of water consumption and effluent lifting.
5. The industry is discharging only domestic effluent into sewer.
6. The house keeping of the industry is poor.
7. The industry has not any certificate regarding site suitability of the industry.
8. The industry is not complying with the provisions under Water Act, 1974.
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that show cause notice for refusal of consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 may be issued to the industry, please.
