Sir, RO has not commented on the total electric load available with the industry after increased load of 2799 KVA and it is not ensured that the industry will not use total load available with it to operate induction furnace of 8 TPH capacity.
The Punjab State Council for Science & Technology has issued Completion certificate vide letter no PSCST/TFD/393 dated 14.09.2023 as per which installed induction furnace is of 8 TPH capacity and it seems that prodcution capacity will be 8 x 16 heat x 300 days = 38400 Ton/year which cover under Environmental Clearance and Regional Office recommended to consider consent with condition that the industry shall obtain the Environmental Clearance in time bound manner.
Moreover, RO reported that the industry has not submitted the documentary proof w.r.t. to apply for Environmental Clearance in this office so far
In view of the above, it is recommended that consent application may be returned to industry with request that the industry shall obtain Environmental Clearance as required under EIA Notification, 2006 before commissioning of induction furnace of 8 TPH capacity, please.
