Earlier the industry was granted Consent to establish (NOC for first time) under the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981, which was further extended for one year vide no. CTE/Extension/LDH1/2023/23324320 dated 24.08.2023 valid upto 23.08.2024.
Now, the industry has applied for Consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for storage of potatoes.
The industry has filled online application form, uploaded Latest CA certificate, site plan location plan, manufacturing process flow chart, STP certificate bearing no. 3823 dated 24.12.2021, Site Plan location plan. The industry has deposited Rs. 54000/- vide no. 739176615 dated 04.02.2024 under Water Act, 1974, Rs. 54000/- vide no. 647055790 dated 04.02.2024 under Air Act, 1981. The adequacy of fee deposited by the industry is upto 31.12.2029.
The industry was visited by officer of this office on 06.02.2024 and observed as under:
1. The cold store has been completely constructed.
2. The chiller used in the cold store is ammonia free.
3. There is no source of generation of trade effluent, only domestic effluent will be generated which will be discharged onto land for plantation after septic tank
4. The cold store has provided/developed plantation area around the periphery of the boundary wall.
5. The area developed is adequate for disposal of proposed domestic effluent of 400 ltr/day.
6. The industry has installed a DG set of capacity 200 KVA, which be equipped with canopy and stack of adequate it.
7. Apart from D.G set there is no other source of air pollution.
8. The industry is complying with the NOC conditions as well as with the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.
In view of above, it is recommended that the industry may be granted 'Consent to Operate' under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 upto 31.12.2029 with suitable condition as per policy of the Board please.
