It is submitted that the industry was issued show cause notice for refusal of consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 with opportunity of personal hearing before the SEE, ZO-2, Ludhiana on 22.01.2024, wherein it was decided as under:-............. 1. Environmental Engineer, Regional Office-4, Ludhiana shall visit the industry to verify the contentions of the industry and process the consent application on merits.........................
In compliance of above, the industry was visited by the officer of the Board on 01.02.2024 and it was observed as under:- 1. The industry was in operation during visit and is engaged in zinc electroplating process...................... 2. The industry has made an agreement with M/s JBR Technology Pvt. Ltd., Phase-8, Focal Point, Ludhiana for lifting of trade effluent @ 4000 ltr/month dated 18.12.2023. The industry has also submitted balance capacity available with the CETP operator in the agreement................ 3. The industry has now provided water meter and reading observed during the visit was 25.6 KL................ 4. The industry is now maintaining the record regarding the total fresh water consumption viz-a-viz effluent lifted. As per record reading on 24.08.2023 was 10.882 KL and industry has consumed fresh water @ 14.718 KL and industry has lifted out 14.0 KL during this period................ 5. The industry has provided collection tank of 2000 ltr. capacity and around approx. 500 ltr was lying inside the collection tank................ 6. The industry has now provided kota stone beneath the polluting process area................ 7. The industry has submitted MSME certificate as a proof of date of commissioning i.e. 24.09.2022................ 8. The industry has submitted an approved building plan from Competent Person approved by Director of Factories................ 9. The industry is located in designated industrial zone i.e. focal point, Phase-6 as per Master Plan Ludhiana................ The industry is now complying with the provisions of the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974................ As proposed by RO, may if approved, Consent to Operate under the Water Act, 1974 may be granted to the industry upto 30.06.2026 with suitable conditions as per policy of Board, please................
