• The industry is a small scale orange category unit.
• The industry was granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 valid upto 31.12.2023 for manufacturing of Hawai Chappal @ 3600 Pcs./Day by using Rubber Reclaim @ 50 Kgs/day, Dana @ 100 Kgs/day, Calcium @ 400 Kgs/day, Mitti @ 200 Kgs/day, Burada @ 400 Kgs/day and Other chemicals @ 50 Kgs/day as raw material under green category.
• Now, the industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS of the Board for manufacturing of Hawai Chappal @ 3600 Pcs./Day by using Rubber Reclaim @ 50 Kgs/day, Dana @ 100 Kgs/day, Calcium @ 400 Kgs/day, Mitti @ 200 Kgs/day, Burada @ 400 Kgs/day and Other chemicals @ 50 Kgs/day as raw material under orange category and detail of the same as under:-
1. The industry has deposited Rs. 9000/- under Air Act 1981 UTR No. N342232775368488 dated 08.12.2023 and Rs. 9000/- Vide UTR No. N342232775356317 dated 08.12.2023 under Water Act, 1974 and Rs. 1800/- as NOC regularization fee vide No. N356232796084391 dated 22.12.2023 against the fixed assets of Rs. 24.27 Lacs, which are adequate upto 30.09.2028.
2. The industry has submitted approved building plan from director of factories act, Punjab.
3. The industry has uploaded the area classification certificate issued by DTP cum PIO, Jalandhar to federation of Jalandhar Industrial & Traders Association Dada Colony Jalandhar vide memo no. 348 dated 03.03.2014 stating that Saini Colony, Dada Colony area falls under general industrial zone as per Master Plan, Jalandhar.
4. The industry has submitted partnership deed, rent agreement with the application.
5. The industry was visited by AEE of this office on 09.01.2024 and it was observed that:-
6. The industry was in operation and is engaged in the manufacturing of hawali Chappals.
7. The industry has installed one wood fired baby boiler of capacity @ 1 T/day with stack.
8. There is no source of trade effluent generation and domestic effluent is discharged into sewer.
9. The industry is complying with the conditions of granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.
The industry is a small scale orange category unit and competency to lies with Senior Environmental Engineer, Zonal office, Jalandhar.
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that the fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and under Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.09.2028 with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board.
