It is submitted that a team was constituted consisting of Sh. Navtesh Singla, EE, ZP-1/2, Patial, Sh. Surinderjit Singh, AEE and Smt. Sonam Dogra, JSO to visit the industrial namely M/s ALM Food Product Pvt. Ltd., surprisingly. Accordingly, the unit was visited on 1/2/2024 and report is attached herewith for kind perusal.
The team has made following recommendations:
1) The industry needs to place mechanism to take filter backwash water to the inlet of ETP.
2) The industry is required to place OCMES in line with the outlet of ETP as per SOP of the CPCB.
3) The industry shall provide the sampling arrangements in the piezometers for collecting the sample.
4) Regarding operation of ETP and groundwater quality of the industry, the same can be ascertained after the receipt of the analysis results from the Lab.
It is also mentioned here meanwhile the renewal of consent to operate under the Water Act, 1974 and Air Act, 1981 has been received from R.O. The details of the case may kindly be perused in the note AEE. As per the said note, the industry is complying with the conditions of consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 earlier granted to it. Also, the industry is achieving prescribed treated trade effluent as well as stack emissions standards as per the last monitoring carried out by the R.O.
Accordingly, E.E, Regional Office, SAS Nagar recommended that CTO under the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 31.03.2027 subject to suitable conditions.
In view of the above, and recommendations of E.E, R.O, SAS Nagar as well as surprise team, CTO under the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 31/3/2027 subject to suitable conditions and additional conditions as proposed by R.O as well as recommendations of surprise team, please.
