It is submitted that the project proponent has submitted feasibility report, wherein it has been mentioned that total solid waste generation from the Project will be 352 kg/d which will be segregated at the source as bio-degradable and non-bio-biodegradable waste as per the SWM rules -2016. The promoter shall make arrangement at appropriate points to collect the solid waste. Number of bins of different colors for different categories of solid waste will be provided to cover the generated volume of solid waste.
Further mentioned that the colony has reserved 152.44 sq/yd for STP, 106.22 Sq/ yd for water works & 390.24 Sq/yd for solid waste management (SWM) area. Bio-degradable waste will be 50 % of the total Solid waste i.e.179 kg/d. Treatment of the Biodegradable waste will be done through aerobic compost pits. A total of 2 No. honey comb pits (3m x 3m x 3m) will be developed in the colony for composting of the bio-degradable waste. Segregation and Disposal of the reusable/ inert waste will be done through the facility provided by promoters for the collections of solid waste which will further submitted to the MC for which developers has deposited the development (EDC) fee to the MC. The promoter will get permission for the disposal of the inert waste from MC.
In view of above, the project proponent has proposed adequate arrangement for disposal of bio-degradable solid waste (via compost pit) and non bio-degradable solid waste (agreement with MC authorities) generated from its premises.
