File Note: • It is intimated that the HCF is a small scale hospital with 46 beds. • The hospital was earlier granted the consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 vide no. CTOW/Renewal/JAL2/2023/22093315 dated 22.05.2023 valid upto 30.09.2023 with suitable conditions mentioned therein. • Now, the hospital has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 through OCMMS of the Board for 46 beds. • The hospital has already deposited Rs. 10,000/- Vide UTR/Reference No. N024232301866801 Dated 24.01.2023 under Water Act 1974, adequate upto 30.09.2027. • The hospital was visited by EE alongwith AEE of this office on 21.12.2023 & observed that:- 1. The hospital was in operation during visit. 2. The hospital having bed capacity of 46 as per certificate submitted by the hospital. 3. The hospital has provided color coded bins at various locations inside its premises. The segregation was found proper. 4. The HCF has installed STP for treatment of domestic effluent and hypo treated liquid waste. 5. The hospital has provided needle shredders at various locations, which were found in operational condition. The hospital has maintained record of bio medical waste generated & lifted to CBWTF. From the record it is clear that the hospital is regularly getting its Bio-Medical waste lifted to CBWTF. 6. The hospital has provided final room with lock and key facility for storage of Bio-Medical Waste. Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that the renewal consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 may be granted upto 30.09.2027 with usual terms and conditions and with special condition that: - 1. The HCF shall ensure to comply with the effluent standards as notified under BMW Rules, 2016, amended upto date and subsequent amendments if any. 2. The HCF shall analyzed its effluent samples from Board’s lab within 03 months. 3. The HCE will renew its agreement with concerned CBWTF on expiry of the same. (Competency Environmental Engineer)
