It is intimated that the industry is small scale red category unit. The industry was earlier granted NOC under Water Act, 1974 & under Air Act, 1981 vide no. CTE/Fresh/LDH2/2023/23732399 dated 13.10.2023 valid upto 12.10.2024 for manufacturing of Electropolishing of extecter tube @ 12000 Numbers/Day using NITRIC ACID @3Liter/day as raw material.
Now, the industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under Water Act, 1974 & Air Act, 1981 alongwith requisite documents. The industry has deposited Rs. 27000/- UTR No. N003242813788878 dated 3.1.2024 under Air Act, 1981 and Rs 29300/- (Rs 27000/- Water Consent Fee + Rs 1800 NOC fee + Rs 500 form fee) vide UTR No. N003242813777923 dated 3.1.2024 against the fixed assets of Rs. 55.78 Lacs which is adequate upto 30.06.2028.
The site of the industry was visited by the officer of this office on 08.02.2024 and it was observed that :-
1. The industry was not in operation during the visit.
2. The industry has installed one no. automatic electropolishing section.
3. The industry has already executed an agreement with M/s JBR Technologies Pvt.
Ltd., @ 25000 Ltr/month for lifting of effluent generated from the electroplating section.
4. The industry has provided water meter on the wet processing area. The operation of the machinery has not started yet. The industry has been advised to maintain proper record of water consumption and effluent lifting. Once it comes in operation.
5. The industry has provided a storage tank of 8000 ltr capacity which was lying idle during the visit as the industry has not started its operation yet.
6. The site of the industry is on rent. The rent deed has been submitted alongwith the application form.
7. There is no air polluting machinery except one D.G set of capacity 75 KVA with canopy and adequate stack height.
8. The domestic effluent shall be discharged into sewer.
9. The industry has submitted building from architect approved by Director of Factories, Punjab.
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Air Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.06.2028 with usual conditions, please.
