• It is intimated that the industry is a small scale Green category unit.
• Earlier, the industry was granted the consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 which was valid upto 30.09.2025.
• Now, the industry has applied for varied consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS of the Board as earlier production mentioned was not real i.e. 200 TPD and it is actuly 1.5 TPD. Further earlier CTO was granted for orange category which has now been applied for Green category as fresh plastic granules are used.
• The CTO fees are already adequate upto 30.09.2027.
The industry was visited by AEE on 01.02.2024 and it was observed as under:-
1. The industry was operational during the visit.
2. The industry has provided extruding machines for preparation of industrial packing material from virgin granules.
3. The industry has installed only non-polluting machinery in the rest of its premises.
4. No trade effluent is generated and only domestic effluent is discharged into sewer.
5. The industry has not installed any D.G. sets.
6. The industry has submitted continuity certificate from Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar vide no. 697 dated 16.06.2022 mentioning that the industry falls under RD2 (Medium Density Zone) and is permissible to operate upto 22.08.2025.
7. The industry has submitted building plan endorsed by approved architect.
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 31.07.2025 with usual conditions and special conditions that:-
1. The industry shall obtain registration under Plastic Waste Management Rules, 2016 within one month.
