• The industry is a small scale orange category unit.
• The industry has applied for fresh consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS of the Board for manufacturing of hand tools @ 0.37 T/Day by using M.S Flat & M.S Round @ 0.37 T/day as raw material and detail of the same is as under:
1. The industry has deposited Rs. 20800/- vide UTR No. BKIDY24017449513 dated 17.01.2024 under Water Act 1974 and form fee and Rs. 23200/- (Rs. 20300/- under Air Act, 1981 and Rs. 2900/- as NOC regularization fee vide UTR No. BKIDY24017452171 dated 09.06.2023, adequate upto 30.09.2028 against the fixed assets of Rs. 37.75 lacs.
2. The industry has submitted registry of the land as per proof of date of commissioning.
3. The industry has submitted proprietorship certificate and approved building plan from competent person under director of factories with the application.
• The industry was visited by the AEE of this office on 08.02.2024 and it was observed that:
1. The industry was in operation during the visit.
2. The industry has installed one powder coating booth with cyclone separator as APCD in its premises.
3. The industry has also installed power press, lathe machine, shaper machine, milling machine, welding set, drill machine hydraulic press and other general machinery in its premises.
4. There is no source of trade effluent generation and only domestic effluent generated by the industry is being discharged into sewer.
5. The industry is complying with the conditions under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.
The industry is a small scale orange category unit and competency to decide such case lies with Senior Environmental Engineer, Zonal Office, Jalandhar.
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the industry upto 30.09.2028 with suitable conditions as per policy of the Board.
