The water requirement / wastewater generation of the establishment is as under: a) Total rooms = 17 no.(34 persons) b) Banquet halls = 1 nos. (100 persons) c) Dinning hall = 1 no. (15 persons) d) Total persons = 149 nos. Water requirement: (34 x 180)+ (115 x 15)= 6.1 KLD + 1.8 KLD = 7.9 KLD Total wastewater generation =7.9 x 0.8 = 6.32 KLD The details of Water Pollution Control arrangments as under:- 1.1 Effluent Treatment Plant a) The Hotel is discharging its domestic effluent into sewer and which will be directed to the proposed terminal STP of Sangrur (which is to be commissioned by 31/03/2024). Further, The establishment is discharging its domestic effluent into MC sewer after treatment through ETP i) The 90% work of installation for terminal STP of Sangrur of capacity 4.0 MLD has been completed and same will be commissioned by 31.03.2024. Moreover, the establishment has provided screen bars followed oil & grease trap and ETP for treatment of wastewater generated from the kitchen in compliance of the Board’s Office Order vide its notification no. 271 dated 10/10/2011. ii) The establishment is discharging its domestic effluent into MC sewer after treatment through ETP, which will leads to the proposed terminal STP, Sangrur of 4.0 MLD capacity. iii) Same as mentioned at Sr.no. (ii). iv) NA being small scale green category. b) EP Rules specify effluent discharge norms i) Not applicable. ii) The project proponent has submit analysis report. c) The establishment is discharging its wastewater into MC sewer only. d) The establishment has provided water meters at the source of fresh water supply. e) The establishment is discharging its domestic effluent into MC sewer after treatment through ETP. f) Same as (c). g) The project proponent is yet has submit analysis report. h) Same as (c). i) Not applicable. 1.2. Solid Waste Management a) The kitchen waste (eatable items) is being disposed off through piggery farms and Recyclable/plastic waste is being lifted by MC, Sangrur. Moreover, the establishment is using re-useable crockery and glasses during functions to minimize plastic waste generation. b) Not applicable. The Hotel is depositing user charges to MC Sangrur and MC Sangrur is lifting the solid waste. c) Same as mentioned at 4.0 (a) d) The establishment has not installed DG set. The representative of the hotel informed that DG set is taken on rent for emergency purposes only. e) The plastic / re-recyclable waste is being lifted by MC, Sangrur f) Same as above. g) Same as above. h) Same as above. 5.0. Noise Pollution a) The establishment uses only indoor loudspeakers as permitted upto 10.00 p.m. only. b) Same as above. c) Same as above. d) The establishment has not installed any DG set. e) The representative of the establishment informed that no burning of crackers are allowed within the premises. f) The establishment uses only indoor loudspeakers as permitted upto 10.00 p.m. only. 6.0. In view of above, it is found that the industry is complying with the guidelines as prescribed by the Board. Therefore, keeping in view of above mentioned facts and submissions made by the project proponent, the establishment may be granted consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & under the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1981 upto 30.09.2028 with suitable conditions.
