Kindly find attached the detailed inspection report. Further observations are as under:-
The industry has applied for obtaining fresh consent to operate under Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 & Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 through OCMMS with requisite documents.
The industry has submitted latest CA Certificate showing value of fixed assets @ Rs 4.75 Lakhs, Udyam Registration Certificate, lease deed, location plan, agreement made with JBR Technologies. Ltd., Undertaking mentioning ownership of the plot, etc.
The industry was visited by AEE of this office on 12/02/2024 and observed the following:
1. The industry is an electroplating unit and was not in operation during visit due to weekly off.
2. The industry has installed 06 no. barrels, 02 no. Caustic drums, 02 no. hydro-extractor.
3. The industry has provided underground storage tank for storage of effluent being generated from the process. During visit, it was observed that the storage tank was 75% filled with effluent generated.
4. Water meter has been installed at the inlet of the industry. Reading of the same was 3,425 Liters.
5. The industry has maintained the record of water being used in process and effluent lifted to CETP.
6. As per record maintained, the industry has consumed 3425 liters fresh water in the process out of which 1900 liters has been lifted to CETP on 24/01/2024 and rest is being collected in underground storage tank.
It is further intimated that the industry is found complying with the provisions of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981. The process of the industry falls in red category in small scale sector and competency to decide the case lies with The Senior Environmental Engineer of the Board.
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that the consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 & Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 be granted to the industry up to 31/03/2028 with usual terms & conditions as per the policy of the Board along with special conditions that:-
1. The industry shall not change its capacity of production/usage of raw material without prior permission from the Board.
2. The industry shall maintain the proper record of fresh water intake to be used for the process of electroplating.
3. The industry shall submit building plan approved under Factories Act, 1948, within 02 months after issuance of this consent in this office.
