Sir, RO reported that the industry is covered under EIA notification for Environmental Clearance. It has applied online for grant of Terms of Reference (ToR) followed by Environmental Clearance as required in accordance with the MOEF&CC notification no S.O 3250 (E) dated 20.07.2022 for structural steels @ 45000 TPA on 01.11.2023.
RO recommended that NOC for expansion may be granted to the industry with usual conditions and with the special condition that :- 1. The industry will comply with the fuel policy issued by Govt. of Punjab, Department of Science, Technology & Environment (STE Branch) Notification No. STE-STEB010/64/2020-STE(5/4)455004 dated 09.11.2022. 2. The industry will not operate its expansion project without obtaining varied consents of the Board under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974, Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 and authorisation under the Hazardous and Other Waste Management and Transboundary Rules, 2016 amended from time to time.
If approved, 'Consent to Establish' (NOC for expansion) may be granted to the industry with usual conditions and with the special conditions as proposed by RO, please.
