• It is intimated that the Hospital is a small scale unit with 185 bedded capacity.
• The hospital has granted consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 valid upto 30.06.2024 for 185 beds.
• Now, the hospital has applied for renewal of consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 for 185 beds through OCMMS of the Board and detail is as under:-
1. The hospital has deposited Rs. 50000/- Vide R/No. 869301581 Dated 10.02.2024 under Water Act 1974 and Rs. 50000/- Vide R/No. 804577718 Dated 10.02.2024 under Air Act, 1981, which are adequate upto 30.06.2029.
2. The hospital has submitted lifting slips, compliance report, location plan, proprietorship certificate, site plan with the application.
• The hospital was visited by Surbhi AEE (OS) on 14.02.2024 and it was observed that the hospital was in operation during visit.
• The hospital having bed capacity of 185 as per certificate submitted by the hospital.
• The hospital has installed 02 no. DG sets of capacity 400 KVA with canopy.
• The hospital was doing treatment of effluent generated from its lab section and same was treating its effluent generated from this section with ETP and STP and same was being disposed off onto land for plantation. Effluent sample was collected on 12.10.2023 at final outlet of STP leading to gardening area and same were sent to zonal office Lab Jalandhar for analysis and results of the same is as under:-

As per analysis report all the parameters are found within the prescribed limits of the Board.
• The hospital is comply with the provisions under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and under Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981.
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that:-
1. The consent to operate under Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted to the hospital upto 30.06.2029 with suitable conditions, please.
2. The consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 may be granted upto 30.06.2029 with usual terms and conditions and with special condition that:-
• The hospital shall obtain permission for extraction of ground water, if required from Central Ground Water Authority.
• The consent granted to the hospital is valid from pollution angle only.
