It is submitted that the SOP are framed for the units engaged in recycling of batteries. The subject cited industry is engaged in manufacturing of new batteries. The industry does not generate any trade effluent as such ETP is not required. The industry has installed APCD at the source of pollution, details already incorporated in the note of undersigned dated 21.02.2024.
In view of above, if approved, it is proposed as below:-
1. The directions may be issued for releasing the electric connection of the industry for six months and for desealing of the D.G. Set installed by the industry.
2. The consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted for six months with suitable conditions and additional condition that the industry will register under the EPR portal as per the Battery Waste Management Rules, 2022, please. |
