During visit to the industry on 22.12.2023 industry has installed new STP of capacity 30 KLD and separate ETP of capacity 300 KLD and both were under stabilization so that effluent samples could not be collected. The industry has provided about 3.5 acre land under plantation purpose but the industry has submitted completion certificate of the effluent treatment plant of capacity 250 KLD, however, the industry has mentioned in application form disposal of trade effluent @ 300 KLD it shows that the ETP plant installed by the industry is not sufficient for the treatment of trade effluent generated by the industry.
The industry has installed 02 no. boilers of capacity 02 TPH and 04 TPH with common stack and separate cyclones as APCD. During visit, one boiler of capacity 4 TPH is in operation. 2nd boiler of capacity 02 TPH was on stand by.
In view of above, it is recommended that:
1. Consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 may be refused.
2. Consent to operate under Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 may be granted upto 31.03.2024 with usual conditions as per policy of the Board.
