Comments of visiting Officer: -
• It is intimated that the hospital is a small scale hospital with 45 beds capacity.
• Now, the hospital has applied for fresh of consent to operate under Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1981 through OCMMS of the Board.
• The hospital has deposited Rs. 16000/- Vide UTR/Reference No. AXSK233060000742 Dated 02.11.2023 under Water Act, 1974, Rs. 16000/- Vide UTR/Reference No. AXSK233060000772 Dated 02.11.2023 under Air Act, 1981, Rs. 10000/- Vide UTR/Reference No. N326232749000511 Dated 22.11.2023 under Water Act, 1974 Rs. 9000/- Vide UTR/Reference No. N029242853435428 Dated 29.01.2024 under Air Act, 1981, adequate upto 30.09.2028.
• The hospital was visited by AEE of this office on 22.02.2024 and observed that:
a. The hospital was in operation during visit.
b. The hospital having bed capacity of 45 as per certificate submitted by the hospital.
c. The hospital has provided color coded bins at various locations inside its premises. The segregation was found proper.
d. The HCF has installed STP for treatment of domestic effluent and hypo treated liquid waste.
e. The hospital has provided needle shredders at various locations, which were found in operational condition. The hospital has maintained record of bio medical waste generated & lifted to CBWTF. From the record it is clear that the hospital is regularly getting its Bio-Medical waste lifted to CBWTF.
f. The hospital has provided final room with lock and key facility for storage of Bio-Medical Waste.
g. The HCF has installed one D.G. set with canopy and adequate stack height.
Keeping in view of above, it is recommended that the consent to operate under the Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 and the Air (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 may be granted to the hospital upto 30.09.2028 with usual terms and conditions and with special condition that: -
i) The HCF shall ensure to comply with the effluent standards as notified under BMW Rules, 2016, amended upto date and subsequent amendments if any.
ii) The HCE will renew its agreement with concerned CBWTF on expiry of the same.
iii) The hospital will obtain varied consents if in future it increases its beds capacity or installs operation theatre, lab, laundry facility etc.
